Game Support FAQ
These games work best with Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 or higher. Many browsers come with their own internal support for running Java, Shockwave and Flash games. If your's are out of date, ot you don't have them, click on the links below: If a game doesn't load properly, it's possible that your cache memory is full. Here's how to clear the cache: Windows PC IE 5 & 6 - In your browser click Tools, then Internet Options, then the General tab, then find Temporary Internet Files. Click the Delete Files button then OK. IE 4 - In your browser click View, then Internet Options, then the General tab, then find Temporary Internet Files. Click the Delete Files button then OK. AOL - Go to the "My AOL" button at the top of your AOL browser. Then in your "My AOL" menu, you should see several menu items, one of which is the "Preferences" item. Select this. The Preferences dialog now appears. To get to your cache settings, choose "WWW". In the middle of the "Internet options" control panel you should see "Temporary Internet Files". Under this there are two buttons - "Delete Files" and "Settings". Press the "Delete Files" button which should bring up a dialog box which asks you if you want to delete all the Temporary Internet Files. Press "OK". Log out of AOL, log back in, and start playing. Netscape 4 - Click Edit, then Preferences, then Advanced, then Cache. There are two buttons : "Clear Memory Cache" and "Clear Disk Cache". You need to click on both. Mac IE - From the "Edit" menu choose "Preferences". Open the "Web Browser" category by double-clicking it, then click "Advanced" under cache, and click "Empty Now" . Netscape 4 - From the "Edit" menu choose "Preferences". Open the "Advanced" category by double-clicking it, then click "Cache". Clear the disk cache by clicking "Clear Disk Cache". When you see an intro screen just click on the game area. When the mouse still works but nothing happens no matter where you click, press CTRL-ALT-DELETE on your keyboard. This will bring up a window showing you all the programs currently running. The application that is causing the problem should have (Not Responding) next to it. Just click on this program to highlight it and then click on "End Task". You may have to wait several seconds for it to shut down, then you can return to what you were doing. A crash is when nothing works, in which case you have no choice but to restart your pc. Try playing Internet games without any other programs running in the background. The fewer tasks running the less likely your browser will run out of memory and crash. Some businesses use a firewall to prevent the transmission of computer viruses and theft of sensitive corporate data. In some cases, these firewalls block data that is required to run the games. Some games use cookies to remember your user name and score. If your security setting is set at High then your computer will NOT accept cookies. For IE 5 or higher: For IE 4: For Netscape Navigator 4.x: [Top]
